Job description
Job Summary
The Med Surg/Tele RN plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality nursing care to patients in the Medical-Surgical and Telemetry departments. This position requires a strong focus on patient assessment, clinical judgement, and effective communication to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients, including assessments, planning, implementing, and evaluating care plans.
- Monitor vital signs and communicate any changes to the healthcare team to ensure timely interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
- Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care instructions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate patient care.
- Document patient care and responses accurately in medical records.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience in Med Surg and Telemetry nursing settings.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
