Job Summary
The Medical Assistant 2 position is designed to assist physicians and clinical teams in a vibrant outpatient setting. This role demands a dependable bilingual individual who can effectively act as a liaison between patients and healthcare professionals. Responsibilities
- Prepare and room patients for their appointments
- Measure and document vital signs
- Engage with patients to discuss their symptoms and gather relevant information
- Input patient data into Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Administer injections within the scope of certification
- Conduct diagnostic testing as needed
- Collect specimens and laboratory samples
- Perform blood draws and related phlebotomy tasks
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of medical equipment
- Keep examination rooms ready for patient use
- Work in conjunction with physicians and nursing personnel for optimal patient care
Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or back-office setting
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
- Valid certification or registration as a Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA)
- Current CPR certification
- Less than 2 years of leadership experience in a professional setting
- Experience in a high-pressure, busy healthcare environment
- Competency in Microsoft Outlook
- Basic computer literacy
