Medical Assistant
Location: Clermont, FL
Hourly Rate: $20
The position of Medical Assistant 2 involves providing support to physicians and healthcare teams while acting as a reliable bilingual contact for patients. This dynamic, hands-on role is suited for individuals who excel in a collaborative outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities for Medical Assistant 2:
- Assist in preparing and rooming patients for their appointments.
- Measure and document vital signs.
- Engage with patients to discuss their symptoms and collect pertinent medical information.
- Input data into Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
- Administer injections in accordance with certification guidelines.
- Conduct various diagnostic tests.
- Gather specimens and laboratory samples.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures including blood draws.
- Ensure medical equipment is sanitized and maintained in sterile condition.
- Set up and keep examination rooms orderly.
- Work in close coordination with physicians and nursing staff.
Qualifications for Medical Assistant 2:
- 1–3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, particularly in a back-office or direct patient care role.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish.
- Valid Medical Assistant certification or registration (CMA/RMA).
- Current CPR certification.
- Fewer than 2 years of experience in a formal leadership position.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook.
- Basic computer literacy.
