Job Summary
The Medical Assistant 2 plays a critical role in delivering healthcare support services in a clinical setting. This position encompasses both administrative and clinical responsibilities, ensuring smooth operations within the medical facility while providing quality care to patients. The ideal candidate should be skilled in handling various tasks that facilitate effective patient management and communication.
Responsibilities
- Assisting healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Managing patient records and documentation to maintain confidentiality and accuracy.
- Coordinating patient scheduling and follow-up appointments.
- Conducting preliminary medical assessments and preparing patients for examinations.
- Administering medications and performing basic laboratory tests as directed.
- Ensuring the cleanliness and organization of clinical spaces and medical equipment.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification from a recognized medical assistant organization preferred.
- Prior experience in a medical assistance role is highly regarded.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures is essential.
