Job Summary
The Medical Assistant 2 position is located in Jupiter, FL, with an hourly pay rate of $20. This role is designed for an individual who excels in a collaborative outpatient setting and serves as a reliable, bilingual liaison between patients and healthcare providers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assist patients for their medical appointments by rooming them appropriately.
- Measure and document vital signs accurately.
- Engage patients in conversations about their symptoms and health histories.
- Input patient information into Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
- Administer injections if certified to do so.
- Conduct diagnostic tests as needed.
- Gather specimens and samples for laboratory analysis.
- Perform blood draws and carry out phlebotomy tasks.
- Ensure medical equipment is sterilized and maintained properly.
- Organize and upkeep examination rooms to ensure a clean environment.
- Work collaboratively with physicians and nursing staff to provide optimal patient care.
Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in direct patient care or back-office settings.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
- Possession of current Medical Assistant certification or registration (CMA/RMA).
- Valid CPR Certification.
- Less than 2 years of professional leadership experience is acceptable.
- Experience in a dynamic, high-volume healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook is essential.
- Basic computer skills are required.
