Job Summary
The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in the healthcare system by providing quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of medical facilities. This position requires a blend of administrative and clinical tasks to support healthcare professionals and enhance patient experiences.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Manage patient scheduling and appointment bookings.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation.
- Prepare and handle medical instruments and equipment.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and administer medications as directed.
- Provide patient education and support for health management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant program preferred.
- Certification as a medical assistant (CMA, RMA) is advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
