Job Summary
The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the healthcare team by providing direct assistance in patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the medical facility. This position entails both administrative and clinical duties, serving as a vital link between patients and healthcare professionals. Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers in performing examinations and procedures.
- Collect and document patient information, including medical histories and vital signs.
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms to ensure cleanliness and compliance with safety regulations.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Facilitate effective communication with patients and their families regarding treatment plans and instructions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical assistant certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and compassion for patient care.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.
