The Medical Assistant performs general patient care duties including recording vitals, assisting with procedures, and managing patient flow. They also handle clerical tasks such as organizing medical records and maintaining a clean, safe clinical environment. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and previous experience in a medical group practice. A Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association is required within six months of hire.
