Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support our Pulmonary Critical Care team in Kokomo. This role plays a vital part in ensuring efficient patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in a clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in patient examinations and procedures under the supervision of medical staff.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records.
- Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for patient care.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with clinical tasks as needed.
- Provide support in scheduling patient appointments and follow-up procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, addressing any questions or concerns.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program is preferred.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a medical setting is advantageous.
