Job Summary
The Medical Equipment Technician is responsible for the delivery, installation, and upkeep of respiratory and home medical devices. This role also includes educating patients and caregivers on the safe operation of these tools. Additionally, the technician conducts patient evaluations and addresses any equipment-related concerns while ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and set up respiratory and home medical equipment at patient homes.
- Maintain equipment functionality through regular checks and servicing.
- Educate patients and their caregivers on the correct and safe usage of medical equipment.
- Conduct assessments of patients to evaluate needs and ensure appropriate equipment is provided.
- Respond promptly to equipment issues and provide solutions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- A valid, unrestricted driver’s license is necessary.
- Previous experience in healthcare, field service, or delivery is preferred.
- Ability to manage physical tasks related to the handling of medical equipment.
