Job Summary
The Mill Operator plays a crucial role in the operation and inspection of milling machinery, which includes SAG and ball mills. This position requires adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations while ensuring equipment runs smoothly. The operator is also tasked with troubleshooting mechanical issues, managing chemical reagents, and maintaining precise production documentation.
Responsibilities
- Operate and inspect milling equipment, specifically SAG and ball mills.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
- Troubleshoot any machinery malfunctions as they arise.
- Handle and manage chemical reagents safely.
- Maintain accurate and timely production reports.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Preferred one or more years of experience in a milling environment.
- Must possess the physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Capability to work in loud, underground industrial settings.
