Job Summary
The MRI Clinic Technologist is tasked with operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images. This role involves ensuring patient safety and comfort while performing imaging procedures and conducting necessary patient assessments.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI scans, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process and addressing concerns.
- Monitor patients throughout the MRI procedure, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Maintain equipment functionality through regular checks and maintenance.
- Collaborate with radiologists to ensure optimal imaging quality and diagnostic results.
- Document patient information and imaging results accurately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in radiologic technology preferred.
- Certification in MRI technology from a recognized body.
- Proven experience in operating MRI machinery and performing scans.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and medical staff.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and health regulations related to MRI imaging.
