Job description
Job Summary
The MRI Technologist will play a critical role in conducting magnetic resonance imaging scans, ensuring the effective use of equipment while prioritizing patient safety and comfort. The successful candidate will collaborate with medical staff to provide accurate diagnostic images, contributing significantly to patient care and treatment decisions.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI scans and ensure the accurate acquisition of images in accordance with established protocols.
- Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring they understand the process and addressing any concerns.
- Maintain and troubleshoot MRI equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret scans and support diagnosis.
- Adhere to safety standards and protocols to protect patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Radiologic Technologist or MRI Technologist.
- Strong knowledge of MRI technology and safety practices.
- Ability to work effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
