Job Summary
The MS/TELE RN position involves delivering exemplary nursing care to patients in the medical-surgical and telemetry settings. This role requires both the clinical expertise to manage acute and chronic health issues and the interpersonal skills necessary to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team. The selected candidate must be prepared to undertake a rigorous interview process to assess their qualifications and fit for this vital role.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for assigned patients.
- Monitor and interpret vital signs and cardiac rhythms, and respond swiftly to any changes in patient status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Educate patients and their families regarding health management and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive care plans.
- Documentation of patient care activities and progression in accordance with hospital policies and regulations.
- Participate in patient rounds and contribute to discussions regarding patient care outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Experience in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
