Night Respiratory Therapist

Job description

Job Summary

The Night Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing essential patient care by administering respiratory treatments, monitoring patients, and ensuring the effective use of respiratory equipment during nighttime shifts. This role plays a vital part in maintaining patient health and comfort in a clinical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments according to prescribed protocols.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in respiratory status.
  • Educate patients and families about respiratory care and procedures.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Qualifications

  • Valid Respiratory Therapist license in the state of practice.
  • Certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple patient needs effectively.
