The Nurse Aide assists nursing and medical staff by performing patient care procedures, maintaining a clean environment, and transporting patients. They also respond to emergencies, collect specimens, and support patient comfort and safety under the direction of a registered nurse. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and first aid training. Prior hospital or sub-acute experience, or current enrollment as a nursing student, is required.
