Job Summary
The role of the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Hospital Medicine is essential for providing high-quality patient care within the healthcare facility located in Meridian, Mississippi. This position requires working closely under the guidance of the Medical Director or designated staff members to deliver medical services in a hospital setting. The hired professional will play a critical role in the ongoing development and operational improvements of the healthcare services, leveraging the advancements made since the hospital’s establishment in 1942.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations.
- Collaborate with medical staff to create and implement treatment plans.
- Perform diagnostic procedures and interpret results.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for patient care management.
- Educate patients and families about health maintenance and disease prevention.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant in the state of Mississippi.
- Strong clinical skills with relevant hospital experience preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
