Job Summary
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the OBGYN department plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive women’s health care. This position is located in Salem, Oregon, and is designed for a part-time commitment of 20 hours per week. The individual will work onsite and engage in a variety of clinical tasks, contributing to the well-being and health management of patients under the supervision of a licensed physician.
Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostic assessments and interpret findings to inform patient care.
- Order and manage medications as necessary, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Assist in the development of NP/PA Float protocols and procedures to support effective healthcare delivery.
- Provide health education and counseling to patients, ensuring they understand treatment options and preventive care.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes and streamline care processes.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid Registered Nurse License in Oregon or a Physician Assistant certification.
- Completion of any required post-hire training or certifications within six months of joining the team.
- Experience or training in women’s health or OBGYN specialties is preferred.
- Ability to work autonomously while consulting with physicians as needed.
