Job Summary
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will play a crucial role in the Inpatient Acute Pain Service within the healthcare facility located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. This per diem position focuses on providing high-quality care for patients experiencing acute pain, while also supporting the education of medical staff including physicians and nurses regarding pain management strategies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough medical evaluations and assessments for patients with acute pain issues.
- Implement appropriate treatment plans and interventions tailored to individual patient needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care and pain management protocols.
- Consult and interpret radiologic and laboratory studies as part of comprehensive care.
- Provide education and guidance to medical staff on acute pain management best practices.
Qualifications
- Candidates must be a board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Strong clinical skills and experience in acute care or pain management settings are preferred.
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work onsite as this role requires direct patient interaction.
