Job Summary
The Operating Room Registered Nurse plays a crucial role in the surgical team by overseeing intra-operative patient care and managing the environment within the operating room. This includes the organization of necessary equipment, supplies, and the personnel involved during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient care during surgical operations.
- Manage the surgical environment, ensuring all equipment and supplies are readily available.
- Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to uphold patient safety.
- Maintain sterile fields and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
- Document surgical procedures accurately throughout the operation.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current Registered Nurse license.
- Valid certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
- Preferred two years of experience in surgical nursing, encompassing both scrub and circulating roles.
