Job Summary
The Optometrist is responsible for performing thorough eye examinations, identifying vision issues, and offering suitable treatment options or corrective eyewear. An essential part of this role involves developing ongoing relationships with patients and delivering care before and after ocular surgeries.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess patients’ visual health.
- Diagnose vision-related problems and determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Prescribe corrective lenses and other treatments as necessary.
- Establish and maintain long-term relationships with patients.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery.
Qualifications
- Doctorate of Optometry (OD) from an accredited educational institution.
- Successful completion of all mandatory optometric state board examinations.
