**Optometry Examiner**
The Optometry Examiner is responsible for delivering expert vision care and carrying out disability assessments for Veterans and federal employees. Key duties involve gathering detailed medical histories, filling out Disability Benefits Questionnaires, and adhering to relevant federal and clinical standards. Applicants must have a doctoral degree in Optometry or Ophthalmology and a valid, unrestricted license in the respective practice state. A minimum of three years of clinical practice, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and U.S. citizenship are mandatory qualifications.
