Job Summary
The OR/Sterile Processing Technician at Surgical Solutions plays a pivotal role in enhancing patient care and supporting healthcare professionals in operating rooms and sterile processing departments. This position is critical in ensuring that surgical instruments are properly processed and available for use, contributing to overall patient safety and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Assist operating room staff by providing necessary instruments and supplies in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sterile processing area.
- Ensure sterile processing protocols are strictly followed to uphold patient safety standards.
- Monitor equipment functionality and report any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to meet the needs of each procedure.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Central Sterile Technician (CRCST) or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience in sterile processing or a related medical field is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills for interaction with healthcare staff.
