Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in supporting the surgical team by preparing necessary supplies, instruments, and equipment while safeguarding sterile techniques. This position ensures smooth operations within the surgical environment and adherence to established protocols.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize surgical instruments and supplies needed for procedures.
- Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques throughout various surgical interventions.
- Manage and update physician preference cards to align with specific requirements.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory; post-secondary education from a college or technical school is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Surgical Technologist role is required.
- Possession of a relevant certification is necessary for candidates.
