Job Summary
The OR Tech II (Surgical Technologist) plays a vital role in the operating room, focusing on supporting surgical teams by ensuring the environment remains sterile and assisting during various surgical procedures. This position is based in Kansas City, Missouri, and requires a committed individual who can thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons by preparing surgical instruments and equipment necessary for procedures.
- Manage patient preparation, including positioning and ensuring safety protocols are adhered to.
- Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgical process, minimizing any risk of infection.
- Participate actively in the scrub role during surgeries, providing needed support and assistance.
Qualifications
- Certification or experience as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail in maintaining sterile environments and handling instruments.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with surgical teams and patient care.
