Job Summary
The OR Tech for Surgery PD Days plays a critical role in the surgical environment, ensuring that operations proceed smoothly and efficiently. This position involves preparing surgical instruments, maintaining operating room cleanliness, and collaborating closely with the surgical team to provide optimal patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing the operating room prior to surgeries.
- Ensure all necessary instruments and supplies are available for surgical procedures.
- Support the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment post-procedure.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while maintaining patient confidentiality.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential is preferred.
- Experience in a surgical setting is highly beneficial.
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures and sterile techniques.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.
