Job Summary
The OR RN Weekend position encompasses the role of a Registered Nurse specializing in operating room duties across various departments, including orthopedics, vascular, and general surgery. This position involves providing excellent patient care throughout the surgical process and managing post-operative recovery in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing surgery.
- Assist surgeons during operations, ensuring that all instruments and necessary supplies are prepared and available.
- Monitor patient vitals and overall condition before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety regulations.
- Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and recovery plans.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license issued by the appropriate state board.
- Prior experience in an operating room setting, with a focus on ortho, vascular, and general surgery preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with surgical teams.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
