Job Summary
The Overnight Shift Direct Support role focuses on providing essential assistance and care for individuals with various needs during nighttime hours. This position is integral in ensuring the safety, well-being, and overall support of clients in a residential setting.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and support clients to ensure their safety and comfort throughout the night.
- Assist clients with nightly routines, promoting independence while also providing necessary help.
- Document and report any significant observations or incidents occurring during the shift.
- Facilitate communication with other staff members to ensure a seamless transition of care.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients during overnight hours.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in healthcare or support services are a plus.
- Previous experience in a direct support role or similar field is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate attitude and a genuine desire to support individuals with diverse needs.
