Job Summary
The Paramedic is responsible for delivering advanced medical care in emergency situations, including assessing patients, providing life-support procedures, and facilitating transportation to medical facilities. This role demands excellent decision-making skills and the ability to perform efficiently under pressure, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients during transport.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments to determine the nature and extent of injuries or illnesses.
- Administer medications, provide advanced life support, and utilize medical equipment as required.
- Coordinate with healthcare teams during emergencies for comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient interactions.
- Ensure the readiness and maintenance of ambulances and medical equipment.
- Engage in ongoing training and education to stay current with medical practices and protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid Paramedic certification from an accredited agency.
- Current CPR and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in high-stress situations.
- Knowledge of emergency medical procedures and protocols.
