Job Summary
The Patient Care Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to patients and their families. This role serves as the primary point of contact for patient inquiries, assisting them with various aspects of their care and ensuring a smooth experience throughout their healthcare journey.
Responsibilities
- Act as the first line of communication for patient inquiries, addressing questions and providing information about services.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient records efficiently.
- Assist patients in navigating insurance benefits and processes.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure timely responses and follow-up on patient needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and care-related information.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education in healthcare preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to multitask and handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Experience in a healthcare setting or in roles requiring patient interaction is a plus.
- Proficiency in office software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
