Patient Service Rep – UT Rheumatology

Job description

Job Summary

The Patient Service Representative at UT Rheumatology plays a crucial role in enhancing the patient experience by effectively managing front office functions and ensuring efficient communication with patients and healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate patient appointments and manage scheduling to optimize office flow.
  • Assist patients with their inquiries, providing them with necessary information and guidance.
  • Handle patient registration, ensuring accurate data entry and maintenance of electronic health records.
  • Communicate with healthcare practitioners to facilitate seamless patient care.
  • Support billing and insurance verification processes as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in healthcare preferred.
  • Previous experience in a medical office or related healthcare environment is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems and medical terminology is beneficial.
