Job Summary
The Patient Service Representative serves as a vital liaison between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring superior support and assistance throughout the patient journey. This role emphasizes the importance of delivering excellent customer service while handling patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and managing patient records in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional service to patients by addressing their inquiries and needs effectively.
- Schedule and coordinate appointments while managing the appointment calendar.
- Assist in the maintenance and accuracy of patient records and information.
- Communicate clearly with medical staff and patients to facilitate smooth operations.
- Handle billing questions and direct patients to appropriate financial resources as needed.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health regulations and institutional policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration or related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably within a healthcare environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy and professionalism.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other office software.
