Job Summary
The Personal Care Aide plays a crucial role in supporting residents with their everyday living needs. This position focuses on enhancing the quality of life for individuals by providing assistance with daily tasks, promoting a comfortable living environment, and ensuring their well-being through careful monitoring and companionship.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene and mobility.
- Perform household tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Monitor the health status of residents and report any changes.
- Provide medication assistance to ensure compliance with prescribed treatments.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to residents.
Qualifications
- Completion of an approved PCA training program is required.
- Genuine interest in and commitment to geriatric care.
- Prior experience working with residents suffering from dementia is preferred.
- Effective communication skills in English are essential.
