Job Summary
The PCU/TELE Registered Nurse plays a crucial role in delivering specialized care to patients in a Progressive Care Unit and Telemetry setting. This position is essential for ensuring that patients who require closer monitoring and management of their medical conditions receive the necessary attention and support. The nurse will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care and will be expected to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care effectively.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients’ health status and vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Coordinate care with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families about health management and treatment plans.
- Document all patient interactions and care in electronic health records accurately.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current RN license in the relevant state or territory.
- Prior experience in a Progressive Care Unit or Telemetry setting is preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, organization, and communication skills.
- BLS and ACLS certification (or obtain within a specified period).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
