Job Summary
The PCU/Tele RN position is crucial in delivering high-quality nursing care to patients in a progressive care unit or telemetry setting. The role demands a dedicated professional who can effectively monitor and manage patient health, utilizing advanced clinical skills and knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Monitor vital signs and interpret telemetry data to ensure patient safety.
- Administer medications and intravenous therapies as prescribed.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions and treatment options.
- Document patient progress and interventions accurately in medical records.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and participate in code blue responses.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience in a PCU or telemetry environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of telemetry and cardiac monitoring.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and high-pressure situations.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
