Job description
Job Summary
The PCU/Tele RN is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients within the progressive care unit and telemetry settings. This role involves monitoring patients’ vital signs, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions and vital signs regularly to determine changes in health status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor their effects.
- Manage patient care plans and provide education to patients and families.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment goals.
- Document patient progress and care activities accurately in medical records.
- Respond to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions when necessary.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience in telemetry and progressive care nursing is highly desirable.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
