Job Summary
The Per Diem Urgent Care X-Ray Technician plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality imaging services within an urgent care setting. This position involves operating radiographic equipment to produce diagnostic images as ordered by medical personnel, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
Responsibilities
- Administer X-ray examinations, ensuring accurate image capture for diagnostic purposes.
- Maintain radiographic equipment and perform routine checks to guarantee functionality and safety.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including proper use of protective gear and monitoring radiation exposure.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure efficient patient flow and care delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of patient examinations and report findings to the appropriate medical staff.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited X-Ray Technician program and possession of appropriate certifications.
- Valid state licensure to perform radiologic technology duties.
- Strong understanding of radiographic techniques and safety measures.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Flexible availability to accommodate per diem shifts in a fast-paced setting.
