Job Summary
This role is pivotal in delivering perfusion services during both open and closed heart surgeries. The perfusionist will oversee the management of patient vitals, initiate ECMO procedures, and provide essential cardiopulmonary support while ensuring the optimal functioning of perfusion equipment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver perfusion services for various cardiac procedures.
- Oversee patient vital signs and administer necessary medications.
- Start and manage ECMO as well as provide cardiopulmonary assistance.
- Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain and troubleshoot perfusion equipment as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited perfusion school.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Must be eligible for or currently pursuing national board certification (CCP).
