Job Summary
The Staff Pharmacist plays a crucial role in managing the preparation, oversight, and distribution of patient prescription medications, ensuring adherence to all applicable legal standards. Additionally, they are responsible for offering drug-related information and may counsel physicians on effective medication use to enhance patient care.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and dispensing of medications for patients.
- Ensure compliance with legal regulations governing pharmacy practices.
- Provide drug information to healthcare professionals and patients.
- Advise physicians on medication usage to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Must possess a current and valid Florida license as a Registered Pharmacist.
- Graduate from a pharmacy program accredited by ACPE.
- Preferred experience includes work in hospital pharmacy settings, especially with unit dose and IV admixture processes.
- Relevant board certifications are advantageous.
