Job Summary
The Pharmacy Data Entry Technician for the evening shift plays a vital role in ensuring the accurate entry of prescription and medication information into the pharmacy system. This position is essential for maintaining compliance and supporting the overall efficiency of pharmacy operations during the evening hours.
Responsibilities
- Accurately enter patient prescription data into the pharmacy management system.
- Verify and validate medication orders by checking for potential interactions.
- Assist pharmacists in preparing medications for dispensing.
- Maintain organized records and ensure data entry remains up-to-date.
- Respond to queries and assist in addressing any issues related to data entry.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in pharmacy data entry or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and basic pharmaceutical concepts.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.
