Job Summary
The role of the Pharmacy Technician Float involves providing support in prescription fulfillment, medication preparation, and managing inventory at different pharmacy sites. This position requires a commitment to patient confidentiality, proficient handling of retail transactions, and maintaining a tidy and orderly workspace.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the processing of prescriptions and preparing medications.
- Manage inventory across multiple pharmacy locations.
- Ensure patient confidentiality is upheld in all interactions.
- Handle retail transactions effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at workstations.
Qualifications
- A minimum of one year’s experience in a retail pharmacy environment.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Pharmacy Technician registration with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy is mandatory.
- National certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) is preferred.
