Job Summary
The Phlebotomist plays a crucial role in the healthcare process by executing venipuncture procedures and gathering, labeling, and processing laboratory samples specifically for infertility assessments. This position emphasizes patient care, environmental cleanliness, and adherence to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Conduct venipuncture to obtain blood samples for laboratory analysis.
- Accurately label and process specimens in compliance with established guidelines.
- Ensure the work area remains organized, clean, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Prioritize patient comfort and safety during the sample collection process.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and best practices in the laboratory setting.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in a high-paced laboratory or hospital environment.
- Valid Phlebotomy certification is required.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is necessary.
