Job description
**Job Title: Phlebotomist**
The role of the phlebotomist is integral to the smooth operation of the laboratory, which includes patient registration, order entry, and the collection of specimens from both inpatients and outpatients. Responsibilities also encompass conducting drug and alcohol testing, processing laboratory reports, and offering support to the laboratory department. Ideal candidates will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and while phlebotomy or medical assistant certification is preferred, it is not mandatory. Successful applicants must achieve AHA BLS certification within the first 30 days of employment and should demonstrate excellent organizational and communication abilities.
