Job Summary
The Phlebotomy Tech plays a vital role in the healthcare setting by efficiently collecting, labeling, and transporting patient specimens. This position requires strict adherence to medical protocols and patient identification processes to ensure safety and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Collect and label patient specimens accurately.
- Transport specimens while following established medical protocols.
- Manage laboratory orders and maintain phlebotomy equipment.
- Provide outstanding customer service in a clinical or hospital environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Preferred: Two years of relevant experience in phlebotomy.
- Possession of a phlebotomy certification is a plus.
- Basic computer skills, with a minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is required.
