Job Summary
UPMC is on the lookout for a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider, specifically a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, to become part of a dynamic primary care team in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. This full-time position requires an onsite presence to provide top-notch healthcare to patients within the community.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive medical care to patients including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
- Implement and manage treatment plans, conducting follow-up assessments as necessary.
- Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies.
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records.
- Participate in continuous education and stay updated with healthcare trends and practices.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid and current certification as a Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) or be a licensed Physician Assistant (PA).
- Completion of an accredited advanced practice nursing or physician assistant program is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to create rapport with patients and team members.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities are essential for high-quality patient care.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to clinical standards.
