The physician will be responsible for delivering comprehensive medical services, which encompass diagnosing and treating patients, conducting physical examinations, and offering preventive health care. Additional duties include making aeromedical decisions, overseeing patient panels, and directing clinical personnel in line with military standards. Candidates should have either a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or a Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree along with current board certification in Aerospace Medicine. Furthermore, a minimum of three years of experience as a privileged flight surgeon at a U.S. military facility within the past seven years is required.
