Job description
**Plans Examiner**
The Plans Examiner is responsible for evaluating both commercial and residential permit applications to confirm adherence to building codes, zoning laws, and safety requirements. This role involves offering technical code guidance to the public and overseeing Code Technicians when necessary. Applicants should possess a minimum of five years of experience in building construction or a related area. An International Code Council (ICC) Building Plans Examiner Certification is mandatory, or the candidate must acquire it within 24 months of employment.
