Job Summary

The Process Engineer plays a crucial role in spearheading initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity, specifically concentrating on safety, quality, reliability, and minimizing manufacturing conversion costs. This position also involves delivering essential technical support to the operations team, aimed at refining performance efficiencies both in area operations and among operators. The role is dedicated to equipping teams with superior tools, processes, procedures, and training materials necessary for not only meeting but surpassing performance benchmarks. Additionally, the engineer will take the lead in troubleshooting processes and products.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing leadership and the workforce at the facility.
  • Provide engineering support to optimize process flow, production yields, reduce costs, and enhance equipment reliability while minimizing waste through lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Lead teams focused on improvements, conduct impact events, and perform production analyses.
  • Support adherence to environmental, safety, and transportation regulations, alongside other compliance standards.
  • Design and execute productivity improvement projects targeting safety, quality, and cost reduction across both expense and capital management.
  • Establish and uphold production standards, ensuring compliance with quality control measures.
  • Create de-bottlenecking strategies to boost product expansion and volume.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Utilize lean methodologies to improve production operations.
  • Generate reports detailing production performance metrics, including output and efficiency.
  • Enhance operational performance by providing technical resources to the team.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for unit processes and products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Chemical Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing/production and process engineering.
  • Demonstrated success in project management.
  • Experience with Six Sigma methodologies is highly regarded.
  • Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with SAP Navigation and Power BI is beneficial.
