Production Supervisor – 2nd or 3rd Shift
Solon, OH
$25–$28/HR The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure production goals are met while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards. This role leads and develops production teams, manages schedules and materials, and supports continuous improvement initiatives to drive performance. Production Supervisor Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivity targets are achieved
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop production employees while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment
- Set clear performance expectations and monitor employee performance
- Plan, coordinate, and evaluate department activities to support efficient operations
- Ensure production lines are properly staffed and supplied according to the production schedule
- Partner with Quality and other cross-functional teams to ensure products meet company and customer standards
- Enforce safety, food safety, and quality policies and ensure proper documentation is maintained
- Complete and maintain accurate production and employee records
- Communicate regularly with management and other departments to support business objectives
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, improve processes, and support strategic goals
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, waste reduction, and cost control
Production Supervisor Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in a team lead or supervisory role, preferably in manufacturing or food production
- Strong knowledge of safety, food safety, and quality standards
- Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage production schedules and ensure material availability
- High attention to detail with strong documentation and data integrity skills
- Experience working with quality control systems and compliance requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a production or food manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with production scheduling and inventory management systems
- Strong ability to train, coach, and develop employees
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, to cover shifts as needed
