Schedule all production activities in the plant. Communicate regularly with customers and provide customer service to ensure deliveries and schedules are met. Ensure that production, quality, productivity, and delivery requirements are met. Monitor labor in all departments to ensure operators are working productively. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain efficient production through scheduling of product and equipment
• Communicate regularly with customers and provide customer service to ensure deliveries and schedules are met
• Coordinate and follow up with production supervisors on scheduling requirements and customer needs
• Coordinate production activities between departments
• Review and adjust production schedules as required to address customer needs
• Lead efforts to improve productivity in all areas of the plant
• Ensure Centralized Load Building (CLB) is utilized and sustained as intended
• Ensure temporary labor is used efficiently and effectively
• Anticipate and troubleshoot problems with new jobs and resolve them quickly
• Halt or make corrections when non-conforming work appears
• Ensure proper NCR investigations are conducted on issues arising during off shifts
• Enforce plant rules across all departments on off shifts
• Follow up on disciplinary actions as needed
• Communicate extra labor needs to the Production Manager
• Work with maintenance on equipment breakdowns and fixturing requirements
• Monitor production to meet productivity goals
• Set up training and provide procedures for development of plant personnel
• Assist in training and assessment of production personnel
• Establish and maintain strong safety awareness
• Assist in order writing and verification of shop orders
• Support and enforce plant initiatives
• Assist in entering furnace programs as needed
• Enter new parts and processes into the PICS database as needed
• Monitor turnaround and scheduling issues
• Coordinate with customers on incoming jobs requiring expediting
• Coordinate customer special requests involving equipment or shift adjustments
• Schedule and monitor production through multiple cost centers
• Support a clean and organized facility
• Work with the Production Manager to address labor issues

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Two or more years of experience in a similar or related position
• Process certification or experience is a plus
• Management or supervisory training preferred
• Experience reading and understanding financial, scientific, or technical reports
• Ability to read instructions, charts, and production paperwork
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to encourage teamwork and communication

Licenses / Certifications Required

• Valid driver’s license with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
• Ability to obtain forklift certification
