Quality Inspector

The Quality Inspector will perform tasks that lead to the assurance of product/process conformance. They will be responsible for inspecting parts and ensuring they meet company quality standards. The Quality inspector will professionally and effectively communicate with others while working as an integral member of a production team. Quality Inspector Responsibilities:
- Use basic gauges and measuring tools and care for and handle gauges properly.
- Understand all major attributes of current parts, including recognition of abnormal parts.
- Read and understand basic engineering drawings and follow the appropriate documents necessary to perform job duties.
- Properly enter data.
- Locate, read, and follow work instructions, quality documents, and other job-related documentation.
- Apply basic shop math when checking part dimensions and completing inspections.
- Follow safety, housekeeping, and equipment care requirements, including daily and weekly maintenance in the work area.
- Understand the process flow and how each step affects product characteristics applicable to product function.
- Follow instructions from trainers and supervisors, including working under co-sign off.
- The ability to follow directions and retain basic information related to the job.
Quality Inspector Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing prints and product/process specifications.
- Strong math skills.
- Shop floor experience (preferred).
